The challenge
The Mexican Tennis Open faced the challenge of providing attendees with a fast way to purchase products during the matches. Given the short breaks between matches, where people go out to consume, this exchange of money for products needed to be swift; otherwise, attendees would miss part of the match until the next break. Additionally, the technology had to cater to audiences of all ages without being too complex for both young and adult users.
The Solution
For the past 5 years, despite previous failed experiences with other systems, the Mexican Tennis Open decided to hire mycashless to streamline sales at its bars and food zones. The system was implemented in 2019 and has since eliminated the need for change for those paying in cash and the online authorizations required when paying with credit or debit cards, as mycashless is a system that functions without internet. The adaptation was successful, thanks to the event’s duration, which is a little over a week each year. Users and bar staff learned to use the system day by day.
The Results
The user experience within their tournaments is crucial for the Mexican Tennis Open, and part of its success is also based on recurrence. Therefore, the mycashless system has become a must in this experience, becoming more user-friendly, intuitive, and efficient year after year.
User data, the key to new generations
One of the benefits of using mycashless is the amount of information that can be gathered from users at events. This has allowed AMT organizers to analyze the consumption behavior of new generations interested in their events and create attractive operational and marketing strategies, such as the modernization of payment methods.
