Organizers were seeking a technological solution that could enhance the positive user experience and improve the consumption process for all attendees, while simultaneously reducing investment costs.
The solution
Although they had already used mycashless in previous editions, for the 2022 edition, they decided to implement dChip, the digital version of wristbands. This allows users to make all transactions from a single app, thus reducing the investment cost in physical wristbands. The adaptation to the digital chip required a different process for both users and operators, leading to adjustments in the training format. Additionally, it was the first major event where this wristband + digital chip format was employed.
The Results
The app was quickly embraced due to effective communication between the mycashless team and the operators, resulting in operational success. Sales exceeded the organizers’ expectations, and their savings in mycashless investment allowed them to achieve an ROI of 20x.
