The challenge
Due to the size and duration of the event, the organizers needed a system to control access for staff, handle sales, and manage inventory. This system had to be user-friendly, as they had never implemented one before, and there was a significant language barrier since both staff and visitors would come from all parts of the world.
The Solution
With mycashless, the event organizers were able to address each challenge. Using NFC wristbands, they gained control over sales and inventory. Additionally, with Fastpass, they could verify access for minors, as the sale of alcoholic beverages also required control. This ticketing system was used in the same way for all operational staff. The language barrier was overcome by designing a training program a week before the event, creating keywords for a unified understanding, and providing visual support on how the system works. Finally, they delivered a great user experience as the loaded balance could be used throughout the month of daily events.
The Results
With 120 devices operating daily and over 19,000 activated NFC chips, the organizers achieved an ROI of 5x. The staff perfectly understood the use and management of the system, making operations smoother with each passing day. Moreover, it was one of the first events in the country to work 100% with this technology.
